Our Principal

Dear Steffan Manor Elementary School Community,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as your principal, Brenda Zander. With over two decades of dedicated service in education, I have had the privilege of wearing various hats, starting from a noon duty, art instructor, classroom teacher to a teacher leader, and eventually stepping into the role of principal. My leadership style is transformational and service-oriented, aimed at fostering a positive school culture.

My journey in education has been driven by a deep-seated belief in providing equitable access to learning opportunities for all students. I understand the importance of fostering an inclusive environment where every child can thrive. Steffan Manor Elementary School holds a special place in my heart, and I am excited to lead our community toward continued success.

My philosophy revolves around setting high expectations for both staff and students. I am committed to supporting continuous learning and professional development, ensuring our educators stay in alignment with the latest educational practices. My vision for our school is one of engagement, differentiation, integrated learning, and student-centered activities, providing every child with a holistic and enriching education.

Closing the achievement gap is a mission close to my heart. I am dedicated to preparing our teachers to teach in culturally responsive ways and creating an environment where every student feels seen, heard, and valued.
